Rizzoli & Isles Season 2 Episode 1 - We Don't Need Another Hero
Jane is honored as a hero at a public event; a case leads Jane to be reunited with an old high-school flame. Jane is hailed as a hero after the headquarters' attack and then runs into a romantic interest from high school while working on her next case.
A Boston police detective and medical examiner combine their skills and talent to solve murders. Perhaps their strikingly different personalities make the relationship between detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles so effective. Jane, the only female cop in Boston's homicide division, is tough, relentless and rarely lets her guard down, while the impeccably dressed Maura displays a sometimes icy temperament -- she is, after all, more comfortable among the dead than the living. Together, the best friends have forged a quirky and supportive relationship; they drop the protective shield in each other's company, and combine their expertise to solve Boston's most complex cases.
A killer targets the Boston homicide headquarters, trapping Jane, Maura and Frankie Jr. in a fight for their survival. Jane is swept into Boston's Irish-mob past when she probes the slaying of an identity thief---who seemingly had no real identity of his own.
