Futurama is an Emmy Award-winning animated American sitcom created by Matt Groening (creator of The Simpsons) and David X. Cohen for the Fox network. The series follows the adventures of a former New York City pizza delivery boy, Philip J. Fry, after he is cryogenically frozen at midnight, December 31, 1999, and is revived one thousand years in the future.

Fry quits his job and becomes a police officer assigned to the Future Crimes Division. When Bender dies, his disembodied software begins haunting the Planet Express building.
