Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May attempt to make train travel cheaper, faster and more interesting by replacing the conventional carriages and locomotive with a series of caravans attached to a specially modified car. Also in this show, Jeremy is out on the track comparing the ripsnorting Jaguar XKR-S to the recently updated Nissan GT-R, while British comedy legend Rowan Atkinson is the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May set out to buy second-hand convertibles and discover some of the unusual pitfalls to watch out for when picking up a used car bargain. Plus, Jeremy is on the test track in the powerful Pagani Zonda R, whilst Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are the Stars in a Reasonably Priced Car. The boys head to the west country for a bank holiday week-end in their home-made motor homes. This is bound to go well... Thankfully, they've left building sports cars to the Germans, so Jeremy takes to the track in the new Audi R8 V10 Spyder and the Porsche 911 Turbo cabriolet. Andy Garcia is the very big Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
Jeremy, driving a Mitsubishi EVO 7 which has a 'colourful' former owner, is on the run from the British Army. Understandably, they want to shoot at him with an array of interesting live ordinance. James and Richard race against a stamp, an envelope and the Royal Mail to see which can travel the length of Britain most quickly: the Porsche Panamera or a letter. On the track, Jeremy and Richard compare and squabble over the Ford Focus RS and the Renault Mégane R26.R. Olympic gold medal winning sprinter Usain Bolt, is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car, although he would probably be quicker to run.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Jeremy wanders the sewers beneath Belfast in the new Renault Twingo 133, for what will probably be a really good reason. Richard, possibly having watched that Cadbury's advert, takes part in Airport Vehicle Racing. On the track, Jeremy drives the BMW X5M, Audi Q7 V12 and a super charged Range Rover - 4x4s designed to get your children to school very quickly. This week's Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is Guy Ritchie, who ironically, couldn't direct traffic.
